Entrepreneurship, skills cultivation, interpersonal and intrapersonal capabilities, self-management, software programming knowhow, use of technologies and more…Our middle schools are becoming more meaningful places for our girls and boys.
You’re invited to come and get acquainted with our main schools which are changing the face of education in the city.
Come and join us for a day in the life of the Ort Singalovski campus . Day after day, they are busy here designing and creating a wealth of responses that result in personal attention, relevance, and excellence in teaching, learning and evaluation processes. The middle school uses a multidimensional approach to evaluate its students based on their emotional, social and cognitive skills. It creates domains where those skills can develop by offering elective courses, learning outside the classroom and diverse evaluation situations, even in our relaxation and fitness rooms.
At the Yafo Educational Campus – Ironi “Zayin” – the middle school is undergoing a transformation. Each and every day, and in a variety of learning spaces, students think up and develop innovative social and scientific ideas. At our school, workshops, elective courses, gamification and outings to the port are all part of the daily routine. The school is an educational home for the residents of Yafo and nearby neighborhoods. The diverse, multicultural and multifaith character of the student community explains why the school has chosen to educate the students towards tolerance, mutual responsibility, pluralism and the love of all humankind.
Who hasn’t dreamed of changing the world? But then dreams meet reality and a lot of hard work is needed to put our ideas into practice. At Ironi Heh , which is located near Tel Aviv Port, doing assignments in the Mediterranean, measuring currents and going sailing are routine activities that are part of a unique marine and environmental sciences track. But there is much more than that. Robotics and entrepreneurship studies are also some of the special programs that we offer, and we don’t forget to come up for air…
Have a look at the new building that houses Shamir High School Tel Aviv , which has been operating out of a temporary facility since earlier this year. The permanent facility is scheduled to be opened at the beginning of the 2021/2022 school year. The school will be a growing institution and more grades will be added to it every year – the middle school is currently the main school on campus! It features an entrepreneurship hub, arts & crafts workshops and a learning club reminiscent of a religious seminary, surrounded by learning spaces outside the classrooms, on the roofs and in the schoolyards.
And what is most special about it? Shamir offers a unique track in the city’s school system – an Olympic sports class. The Olympic class is a one-of-its-kind framework in Israel, which is guided and supported by the Olympic Committee of Israel. It enables outstanding male and female athletes to aspire to excellence, both in competitive sports and in their academic studies at the school.
Come to our house – the six-year secondary school, Ironi Tet . So how do you turn a number into a story? By revising our evaluation methods, we have managed to reduce the pressure associated with test scores and grades and have enlisted our students to tell their story and experience in-depth learning processes. As part of that approach, we created an educational makerspace as well as learning spaces outside the classroom, which create diversity and meet the needs of each and every student in an individualized and customized manner.
