Nothing is more special or more typical of Tel Aviv-Yafo than the kindergarten campus model that consolidates a number of kindergartens that have craft rooms, such as a carpentry shop or shoemaker’s workshop, or anything else that helps develop competencies and life skills. At the Bartonov Kindergarten Campus<\/strong><\/span>, \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a><\/b><\/strong> there is also a greenhouse for growing vegetables and sprouting seeds. And at the Pardesim Kindergarten Campus<\/strong><\/span>, \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a> <\/b><\/strong><\/span>which is located in the northeastern part of the city, the children explore and make things in the nearby fields and hike to Pardesim River.<\/p>\n

Hard work <\/strong>is a key value at the A.D. Gordon Educational Campus<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a> <\/b><\/strong><\/span>which is a school for first to ninth graders on Hayarkon Street near the Mediterranean. The school is home to an active community that is involved in special educational endeavors founded on A.D. Gordon’s teachings, which espouse society, work and equality<\/strong>. The students run their own ‘society’ according to the principles of active social leadership.<\/p>

Anoch<\/u><\/strong><\/a> \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a> <\/b><\/strong>is a special school and educational framework for students with mild intellectual disabilities. The staff dreamed about combining learning with manufacturing so the students could integrate into the job market, earn a dignified wage and become self-sufficient adults. The dream came true and a number of vocational training tracks were introduced: public building maintenance, child caregiving and gardening.<\/p>

At the Yad Eliyahu Kindergarten Campus<\/span> \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a> <\/b><\/strong>not far from there, plastic art and carpentry are means used by the children to create and interweave the important values of environmental protection, sustainability and recycling. In many of the activities, the whole family takes part in the experience which combines learning, a sense of community and lots of joy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Venezuela-Kalischer<\/u><\/strong><\/a> \"\u05dc\u05e6\u05e4\u05d9\u05d9\u05d4<\/a> <\/strong><\/b><\/span>is a school for students who have complex disorders, cerebral palsy or other neurological syndromes. Most of them cannot function independently and use various means to communicate. Because the curriculum is tailored to different age groups, the older students work in accessible crafts suited to their motor abilities, while making use of various technological aids. The students in the upper grades are engaged in carpentry, gardening and pottery making.
